Prose...ed extra towards Chindi, nestle between Apple orchards and rolling Meadows. A great purpose for unwind.
very fine in the Monsoons. Trek additional during a great twisting road towards Mandi (cycle it down) 69 kms. A day in Mandi is just as fine. It’s the temple town of Himachal Pradesh. Kataula is 22 kms from Mandi, from where we start towards Parashar Lake. Katindi is the base for the trek up to the lake or you can also drive up through the tree-plant and the off road track foremost up to the lake and the temple. Stay at the Forest Rest House. Trail Tales Outdoors can place for the outfit for your trip (tents, Bikes, Rafting etc). Attach with us, to display it from us or for any suggestion don’t waver to call leading us or letters us.
Our all boys trip to Prashar lake. This was a trip with a mission to hoist national flag at Prashar Lake on 26th January 2009. These are the pics of Prashar Lake. Prashar Lake is a high-altitude lake located in the Mandi district, about 2730 meters’ above sea level. The road from Mandi to Prashar lake is in really a bad shape. But since we all were boys (men without families accompanying them), we enjoyed the rough drive. We expected to see snow at Prashar lake but were disappointed.
People at Prashar lake told us that usually there is 3-4 feet of snow during January. But this year there was absolutely no snowfall. Looks like there is an effect of recession on the Mother Nature too or is it alarming global warming effect.
As you can see in the pictures below, there is absolutely no snow in Prashar in winters. I never expected Prashar Lake to be like this in winters. When I saw images of this lake on Google, I was really impressed to see the lake surrounded by snow clad mountains.
After a long rough drive and such a disappointment, the only good thing to have at Prashar was a cup of nice masala tea and Maggie. As per our plan, after resting for few mins we hoisted Indian National flag at Prashar Lake.
